The only thing better than a cookie dough bite is a cookie dough bite dipped in delicious chocolate!

These indulgent goodies are a huge hit with both kids and adults! There is something that just feels super indulgent about eating cookie dough. Even better is to dip these off the charts bites of cookie dough into melted Ghirardelli chocolate! The combination of cookie dough and chocolate pretty much secures this dessert a place on the “next level” list for my Cookie Dough Truffles!

Enjoy!

This simple dessert is always a hit and delivers that 4th of July “Ooh” and “Aah” that bakers look for as a reaction. It’s a simple chocolate pudding with chocolate cookies mixed in throughout. Easy enough to make and a total crowd pleaser.

When I make this for Lily’s birthday treat, I double the recipe and use mini mason jars. It’s a pretty way to plate a dessert for both kids and adults. You can top with a layer of crushed Oreos or place a dollop of whipped cream on top of pudding, sprinkle with crushed cookies and maybe place a cookie right in the whipped cream!

Find mini mason jars here.

If you are making these for gifts, think about changing up the sprinkles for the holiday. You can use red and pink for Valentine’s Day, green and red for Christmas, and green for St. Patrick’s Day. You might also want to shop the cookie aisle to see what fun Oreo flavors they have in stock. My grocery store offers seasonal options like pumpkin spice, red velvet, and birthday cake. There are easy tricks you can learn to take your skills up a notch and sometimes, it just means learning a few PRO TIPS. Here are my best tips to make your Chocolate Dipped Oreos look professionally done and bakery-ready!

Place Oreos in center of the mold. Pipe chocolate down sides and across the top.

1) Use a Candy Mold for professional result.

2) Use a single layer of sprinkles.

3) When you place your Oreo on top of the first layer of chocolate, you want the Oreo level with the top of the Oreo mold. If it is sticking out over the top, you won’t get that even, flat bottom finish.

4) No need for a piping bag. You can use a Ziplock sandwich bag. Simply fill the sandwich bag with melted chocolate, seal it, and snip off a tiny corner. Makeshift piping bag ready to go!

We drink a lot of hot chocolate at my house, especially during the winter months. During the holidays, I try and make everything a little more special. This idea for hot chocolate is just one of the ways we turn up the volume on our hot chocolate during the winter months. With the recent shortage of canned whipped cream (GASP!) I thought it was the perfect time to share one of our favorite seasonal hot chocolate additions!

Instead of tossing out all of those candy canes from the holiday, repurpose them this week in your hot chocolate. It’s a fun thing to do with the kids and this recipe comes together in a snap. If you have company, this is a simple and memorable way to present hot chocolate. A tray loaded with mugs of hot chocolate with these adorable chocolate dipped candy canes is always a hit!

Enjoy!

If you’ve ever wandered into one of the many Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores and were able to see beyond the stunning Caramel Apples, you may have lucked into tasting Avalanche Bark. It’s insanely addictive, intense, and leaves you wanting just one more bite.

There are certain tastes that immediately transport me back to a special time in my life. Avalanche Bark brings me back to the days of dating my husband. Early in our relationship, Doug introduced me to Aspen, Colorado and I fell in love with this stunning mountain town. Aspen became such an important place in our hearts that we ended up getting married there. It’s also the place I discovered Avalanche Bark on one of our late night strolls.

If you’ve never been to Aspen in the summer, picture Disneyland for people who like to be active. We spend our days hiking, biking, fishing, river rafting, and horseback riding. While Aspen in the winter has a reputation for being pretty fancy, our version of summer Aspen is more like dusty hiking boots and workout clothes.

The best part of our day is our late night strolls through town. This is where I discovered and fell in love with Avalanche Bark at The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. If a Rice Krispie Treat and Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark had a baby, this would be it. Avalanche Bark is an amazing combination of everything I love: peanut butter, chocolate, white chocolate, marshmallows, and Rice Krispies.

My kids were first introduced to Avalanche Bark on the streets of Aspen and it was love at first bite. Now, we bring the taste of one our favorite places in the world into our very own kitchen. My kids are obsessed with Avalanche Bark. They love it and it’s always a big hit.

This recipe is super easy and takes no time. The hardest part is having the patience for the mixture to cool to room temperature so that you can throw the mini marshmallows and mini chocolate chips in without them melting.

Enjoy one of our favorite treats!

Does anything say summer like S’mores? This recipe is so crazy easy that I’m not even sure it’s fair to call it a recipe. This version of S’mores has all of the basic ingredients: chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. While it has all the same ingredients, it’s served as a dip instead of a sandwich. In other words, it’s AMAZING!

The pan gets very hot in a 450 degree oven. Please remember to use oven mitts (on both hands!) and when you layer the chocolate and marshmallows, remember not to touch the sides of the pan.

This recipe is super easy and will be a huge hit with the kids.

Happy Summer!
Enjoy!
