OOPS!
I have no idea why this didn’t post on Saturday morning and my apologies for the late menu. I even did an Instagram Story to show the meal planner going up on the blog for the week and how excited I am for the delicious week ahead. I’ve been really into posting my stories on Instagram where I chronicle what I’m making, where I’m eating, and and awesome things I love. It’s a little more “real time” and interactive as sometimes I ask you to direct message me with what you think I should order in a restaurant or make next or which topping I should use. It’s been really fun and I’d love for you to join me on my Instagram adventure! You can follow me here.
Last night I went to one of my favorite local restaurants called Forma in Santa Monica. They are famous for their fabulous spin on Italian food on quaint Montana Avenue. The restaurant has these enormous cheese wheels in the back of the restaurant. The giant wheels serve as bowls for the chefs to finish off beautiful pastas that come piping hot out of the kitchen. Pastas like Cacio E Pepe and Mushroom Tortellini with Truffle are tossed into the bowl of the cheese wheel. The chef scrapes up the delicious cheese into the pasta as he masterfully works the pasta. It’s not only interesting to watch but completely and totally drop dead delicious! I took a video on my Instagram Story with the assistance of Jake (15) of the amazing process. I’m working up the nerve to actually get on camera myself so stay tuned for that leap of confidence! For now, you can check out my feed and my daily stories here.
Here’s is the meal planner with a beautiful old fashioned brisket, a bubbling platter of Chicken and Bean Enchiladas topped with cheese, comforting Individual Meatloaves from Barefoot Contessa, and an easy weeknight Turkey Bolognese that will become a staple in your culinary arsenal!
Have a great week!
Enjoy!

Everyone loves a classic comforting meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and Green Beans! The only thing better than this delicious recipe is that everyone at the table gets their very own little meatloaf! No more fighting over the lovely brown ends! PRO TIP: Left over meatloaf? Send meatloaf sandwiches to school tomorrow!

My Turkey Bolognese is always a hit! It delivers big time flavor and taste on a weeknight schedule. Here’s something I’ve learned over the years: you don’t get extra points for more time spent killing yourself in the kitchen. People just want good food! Serve this pasta with a nice loaf of garlic bread and a big side of Roasted Broccoli.
