This summer, while on vacation in Positano, Italy, I became obsessed with Peugeot Salt and Pepper Mills. Here we are in one of the most beautiful places in the world and I can’t stop obsessing over the salt and pepper mills in the hotel restaurant.
Positano is a stunning cliffside village overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. It’s one of those pinch me places that I can’t even believe I got to visit. We stayed in a hotel perched high above the rocky beach and were completely hypnotized by the view. It’s truly staggering.
Breakfast and lunch were available outside overlooking the water. Each table was covered in pale pink linens, had pretty trays for jams, and these perfect salt and pepper mills. The tables were so simple but created the kind of space that invited you to stay and linger for a while.
It was the striking Peugeot Salt and Pepper Mills that caught my eye. Each meal, I would add a few grinds of perfectly cracked pepper or salt to my food. I especially love things that are both beautiful and functional and these mills checked both boxes. I took note of the brand and vowed to order them as soon as I got home.
Peugeot is a classic French brand with a long history of making iconic salt and pepper mills. After researching Peugeot, I realized I had seen them everywhere! Chefs use them on television and they often pop up in photo shoots for magazines. Chefs use them because they are consistently great and food stylists use them because they are gorgeous. These mills are a win/win!
The mills come in a variety of materials: stainless steel (shown here), silver plated, acrylic, and wood. The stainless steel are clearly marked with an “S” or “P” on the metal cap and come in two heights: 7 inches and 8.75 inches. These mills are the perfect addition to any table and also make a perfect hostess gift.
Enjoy!
