I have a thing for beautiful cake stands. I guess you could say I’m obsessed. I love classic, simple stands that showcase my desserts without upstaging them. My favorite stands are vintage looking Milk Glass Cake Stands. They come in a lot of different colors (pink, grey, green) but I’m partial to the clean look of white.
When I offer to bring dessert to a dinner party, I always gift the hostess with a lovely cake stand. I bake (or buy) a delicious cake and plate it on a pretty cake stand. I wrap the entire thing in cellphane paper with a bow. Everyone at the party enjoys a great dessert and the hostess keeps the cake plate. My hope is that every time she sees that cake stand it serves as a great memory from a fun night.
