Meal Planner Week of January 16th

It’s no surprise that I plan my life around food. I wake up thinking about what I’m going to eat that day and am equally excited about cooking. I feel about trips to the grocery store the way some people feel about an afternoon at Neiman Marcus. Planning these weekly menus not only keep me organized for the week ahead but truly make me happy. If it’s true that you should follow your passion, I’m following mine right to the fridge.

This week is full of comforting favorites. Check out Ina Garten’s perfect Chicken Pot Pie, a Toasted Ginger Salmon from How Sweet It Is, Marcella Hazen’s famous Tomato Sauce, and my favorite Stuffed Peppers. There is something drop dead delicious to look forward to each night and I can’t wait to welcome my family home to these beautiful meals.

Enjoy!

This is a lick-the-plate good kind of Tuesday night with my favorite Stuffed Peppers. This dinner is always a hit with my family and friends. The kids like this with a side of rice or orzo.

My favorite way to eat fish is with Asian flavors. This recipe from How Sweet Eats has all of my favorites: sesame, ginger, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Serve with rice and Sesame Asparagus.

The world’s most delicious pasta sauce calls for just three simple ingredients: tomato, butter, and onion! I’m always surprised how something so simple can be so perfect. FYI: This is Jake’s favorite sauce. If you need more than this light, simple dish, add a Roast Chicken and Roasted Broccoli.
