I live in Los Angeles and while I’m not dealing with subzero temperatures, a week of winter meals totally hits the spot. Our winter may be mild in comparison to other parts of the country but we still like our seasonal food here on the left coast. Walking through the markets, I’m seeing tons of fennel, oranges, broccoli, and mushrooms. This week, we are putting that of the moment produce to good use with some pretty amazing dinners.
The plan is to knock it out of the park this week with my Fennel and Orange Salad, a Valentine’s Day Steak with Mustard and Mushroom Sauce, the best Chicken Teriyaki ever, and the most comforting bowl of easy Chicken Noodle Soup.
Enjoy!

Fennel and Orange Salad is the perfect winter salad! With a pop of citrus and a salty crunch from the pistachios, and a dusting of parmesan cheese, this salad is sure to make you a fennel fan. Serve this with Roasted Chicken or a simply grilled fish for a perfect dinner.

Go big or go home! We are actually staying home for Valentine’s Day so I’m not sure that applies but I am going big. I’m treating my family to a decidedly decadent Valentine’s Day dinner with this gorgeous Steak with Mustard and Mushroom sauce. I’ll add in some Roasted Broccoli and wish everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day! xo

Chicken Teriyaki for a weeknight meal in that tastes like a big night out on the town. This recipe is better than any restaurant version I’ve ever had. Serve with white rice and Sesame Asparagus for a perfect dinner.
