My husband decided to do a popular 30 day food program that helps you break bad habits with food and cut junk out of your diet. It’s a food program that focuses on eating “real food” and pulling out things like dairy, soy, and processed foods. To be supportive, I’ve been reading a lot of labels (no sugar or msg!) and cooking meals that I can alter to make it program friendly. I’m getting the hang of this new program and find it easy to make family friendly meals that are compliant with the program.Last night I made turkey meatballs (no bread crumbs or cheese), fresh Marina Sauce, and zucchini “zoodles” (pasta for the kids). When I couldn’t figure out how to use my friend’s “zoodle maker” for zucchini (“zoodles” are fresh zucchini that is shredded to look like noodles), I grabbed my julienne peeler and got to work. In no time at all, I had the most beautiful collection of long strips of julienned zucchini that would serve as “zoodles.”
My julienne peeler is one of the best gadgets. It’s affordable, doesn’t take up valuable real estate in my kitchen, and is easy to clean. My peeler makes julienning carrots, potatoes, and squash a snap. I love when food comes out of my small home kitchen looking straight out of Bon Appetite Magazine! My julienne peeler consistently produces professional looking cut vegetables that are uniform and look beautiful.
I’m a big fan of my julienne peeler. Find Julienne Peeler here.
