Last night, I was feeling unsure about asking someone for a favor. It wasn’t the kind of mom favor I’m used to asking people, like picking up my kids from school or taking my hot lunch duty at school. It was business related (I was certainly not channeling my inner Sheryl Sandberg!). My husband listened carefully and reminded me, “In life, you have to take big swings.”
It was such simple advice but really resonated with me. As much as I tell my kids to take risks and make an effort, I needed to be told to take a chance. I not only fired off that email (cringe) but actually put that quote up as a reminder on my bulletin board.
There is a lot of crazy good food happening on the menu this week. Check out the recipes, write your shopping list, get organized, and maybe take a few big swings! Your next week’s self thanks you.
Monday
I can’t wait to get through Monday and saddle up to the dinner table. These stuffed shells are so insanely good and the artichokes remind us that this is spring comfort food at its very best.
