Old habits die hard. For the past few years, I’ve been using the calendar on my phone. It’s a great convenience when I’m out but I didn’t love the format. I found that things slipped through the cracks and I missed seeing my appointments in a book. About half way through 2016, I bought a desk calendar and kept both an electronic calendar and a desk calendar. I get that it isn’t the most technologically advanced form of calendar keeping but I have to admit, it was a game changer for me.
I love handwriting appointments in my book and seeing the week mapped out on a 2-page spread. It keeps my schedule straight by making sure both calendars match each day. Since I’m juggling 3 different schedules (mine and the kids) each day, I need to be as organized as possible and my desk calendar really helps me focus.
Graphic Image is my favorite company for desk calendars. These calendars are exactly the same ones you see sold in stores like Barneys New York under their brand’s name. They have an assortment of amazing colors and different styles to choose from. I always go for something classic like black or tan but colors like Hermès orange and bright pink do catch my eye!
Enjoy!
