Father’s Day is just around the corner and I have the best gift idea for you! Plan ahead and don’t get caught racing out to buy golf balls and grill gear (that he doesn’t want or need) the day before Father’s Day.

Years ago, I gave my husband a brand new dopp kit filled with travel size versions of all the products he uses every day. I have to say I was pretty proud of myself (insert pat on the back) because I finally nailed a gift for my difficult-to-buy-for husband. It’s thoughtful, personal, and something he will actually use.

Having a travel kit filled with all of your favorite toiletries makes packing a breeze. It takes me forever to find all of my products, transfer them into FAA size approved containers, and pack them up. Having everything stocked up in a travel kit means you just toss it in the bag without all the hassle. It’s one of my favorite travel tricks.

When I first met my husband, he had a job that required a lot of travel. He was on a plane almost once a week and the packing situation was a disaster. He had one set of toiletries and when they weren’t leaking all over his tired looking dopp kit they were forgotten in the hotel bathroom.

The dopp kit was a huge hit! Packing up for a trip is now a breeze. The dopp kit has a “home” under his bathroom sink. It is always stocked with his favorite products and ready to go. It will take a little recon on your part to put this gift together, but trust me, it’s well worth it.
