Best Marinara Sauce

Serves: 3 cups
Ingredients
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 whole cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 large basil leaves
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add 2 whole cloves of garlic.
  3. When garlic is fragrant and has light brown color (don't burn!), add crushed tomatoes, salt and basil.
  4. Combine ingredients and lower heat to simmer for 30 minutes. Add more salt if needed.
  5. Remove garlic cloves.
