Homemade Tortilla Chips

Serves: 60 chips
Ingredients
  • 1 cup oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 10 corn tortillas
  • kosher salt
Instructions
  1. Line sheet pan with paper towels.
  2. Cut each tortilla into 6 triangles.
  3. Heat oil over medium high heat. Do not allow oil to smoke or exceed 350 degrees.
  4. Once oil shimmers, add corn tortilla triangles in batches. Do not over crowd the pan.
  5. Fry about 2 minutes per side. Fry until crisp and lightly brown on both sides.
  6. Remove chips from oil and place on sheet pan lined with paper towels.
  7. Season with kosher salt.
